Ali's Dream - Group Exhibition

Project type

Group Art Exhibition

Date

July 17th - 28th, 2021

Location

Beijing, China

Just as Ali the Fox captures the essence of childlike wonder and
fascination, the works of French educated, Chengdu-based artist
Pang Fan (aka FANSACK) follow in the same spirit. His own artistic
journey began when he was just a kid painting graffiti on the streets of
Chengdu, dreaming of one-day traveling the world as a famous artist.
It was this sense of boyhood adventure that would eventually carry
him all the way to France, where he earned both a Bachelor’s and
Master’s degree in the arts and began exhibiting his work in galleries
across Europe. There, FANSACK had the opportunity to not only meet
his childhood graffiti heroes, but also work alongside those same
street artists who initially inspired him as a teenager- eventually even
becoming the personal assistant to French graffiti legend Kongo.
Now back in China, FANSACK’s creative accomplishments are proof
of the power of dreams, and are a testament to his personal and
spiritual growth. His canvas is an atmospheric realm brimming with
colorful characters such as apes, aliens, and astronauts that hint at
the interconnectedness of a shared reality across cultures, while also
alluding to the presence of something “more” beyond our human
senses. Additionally, his playful interpretations of Eastern and Western
icons, from Chinese Zodiac animals to the Mona Lisa, further explore
the limitless potential of human fantasy and the possibility of universal
understanding through symbolism. Whether in the form of spirituality,
philosophy, or technology, the works of FANSACK, just like the
adventures of Ali the Fox, ultimately aim to guide viewers on a voyage
to the outer reaches of human imagination through the timeless art
of storytelling. As such, this exhibition features works from various
periods of FANSACK’s career with an emphasis on his latest tie-dye
themed “Flower Power” series.
